A Happy Life is About Little Things
by Amy Sherman, LMHCI give you permission to play and I hereby enroll you as a lifetime member of the Never Too Old to Act Young Society.
With this membership, you are entitled to walk in the rain, collect rainbows, smell the flowers, blow bubbles, watch the moon and stars come out, go barefoot, go on adventures, sing in the shower, visit friends, have a merry heart, act silly, hold hands, hug and kiss, feel happy, ride bicycles, look at the sky, daydream, play all kinds of music, learn new stuff, get excited about everything, tell stories, celebrate, relax, create, love, live your passion, live spontaneously and experience peace, balance, harmony and much more.
In addition, you are officially authorized to frequent parks, beaches, meadows, swimming pools, forests, playgrounds, museums, picnic areas, ice cream parlors, amusement parks, theaters, aquariums, zoos, festivals, carnivals and any other place you enjoy, and you are required to never, ever forget how to have fun and laugh.
This enrollment means that it is your divine right to be childlike because joyfulness is a part of living. It is important to embrace the fun things in life, to get pleasure and feel enthused by the little things that you took for granted as a child.
Do not forget that joy comes from within and that the secret to a happy life is how much you enjoy it.
“Cheerfulness is contagious, but don’t wait to catch it from others. Be a carrier.” – Anonymous
